Linear and OSCO commercial gate operators power apartment complexes and HOA communities across DFW. When they fail, we respond fast — same-day service, priority commercial dispatch.
Linear’s OSCO Controls division produces the commercial gate operator of choice across DFW’s multi-family residential and commercial property market. The OSCO 9100, Linear Delta 3, and LDO-series operators are found at apartment communities, office park entries, storage facilities, and gated subdivisions throughout the Metroplex. Linear also manufactures telephone entry systems and vehicle loop detector modules that integrate with these operators — making the full access system a Linear ecosystem in many DFW properties.
When a Linear/OSCO system fails, the technician who arrives needs to understand not just the gate operator but the full system — entry panel, loop detectors, access inputs, and operator control board. Our technicians service the complete Linear ecosystem and can diagnose whether a malfunction originates in the operator, the entry system, or the vehicle detection wiring without sending you in circles.
Linear boards in outdoor commercial enclosures are vulnerable to DFW power spikes. We stock common Linear boards and replace same-day when available.
Vehicle loop not detecting cars, or detector stuck in “presence” mode holding the gate open. Loop wire continuity test, sensitivity recalibration, or detector board replacement.
Linear entry panels not calling residents, relay not releasing gate, or directory programming lost. Full Linear access system diagnosis and programming.
Linear gates not completing full open or close, or reversing prematurely. Limit adjustment, obstruction sensor testing, and switch replacement.
Many DFW properties run a complete Linear system. Here’s how the pieces connect — and where failures hide.
Linear’s entry panels integrate directly with the gate operator via relay output. When the entry system fails, the gate may still open manually but residents lose call-in access. We diagnose and repair both sides of the relay connection.
Linear loop detectors handle exit detection (gate opens for departing vehicles) and safety presence (gate won’t close on a vehicle). A broken loop wire in the pavement affects both functions and mimics other failures on the control board.
The operator board processes signals from the entry panel, loop detectors, keypads, and remotes. When it fails, no input triggers the gate. We confirm board failure before replacement — sometimes what looks like a board fault is actually a shorted input wire.
Keypads and card readers wired to the Linear operator communicate via dry contact relay. Wiring termination failures — corroded terminals, loose connectors — are common at the operator end and are a fast fix when caught.
