My Viking gate is running past the stop point and bending the chassis — what's happening?

This is a magnetic limit failure or calibration drift. The proximity sensor is no longer seeing the limit magnet at the correct position. We recalibrate the limit magnet position and test the sensor output before the gate causes further damage.

My Viking GB3 is getting slower over time — is that normal aging?

Gradual slowing is most often worn motor brushes reducing motor efficiency. On the GB3, brushes are a standard wear item — we inspect and replace during a service call and check gear lubrication while the unit is open.

Can you integrate my Viking gate with a video intercom system?

Yes. Viking's free-contact input accepts triggers from DoorKing, DoorBird, Viking intercom, and other systems. We wire and test the integration in a single service call.

The Viking operator makes a grinding sound when it starts moving — what causes that?

Grinding at startup is usually a dry or damaged drive gear or chain. Left unlubricated, the drive components wear rapidly. We inspect and lubricate, replacing worn components as needed.
